Who is this for
Through this course, practitioners develop an understanding of how mental health challenges affect the whole human — mind, body, nervous system, relationships, and lived experience. This ensures that those engaging with the training are better equipped to support clients with sensitivity, care, and appropriate boundaries, protecting both clients and practitioners alike.
A core part of our approach is bringing together qualified counsellors and practitioners from multiple disciplines to deepen shared understanding and skill. By learning alongside one another, practitioners gain insight into different ways of working, allowing for clearer boundaries, ethical collaboration, and the confidence to cross-refer where appropriate.
This creates a trauma-informed, multi-disciplinary perspective that practitioners can take back into their own practice — whatever their modality or setting.
Beyond qualified counsellors, this course is open to counsellors, psychotherapists, and wellbeing practitioners who feel they would benefit from a deeper understanding of mental health and its impact beyond symptoms alone. It is particularly suited to those who work closely with people and want to respond to emotional or trauma-related material in a more informed, regulated, and contained way.
You might be:
- A counsellor or psychotherapist wanting to integrate a more embodied, whole-human perspective
- A massage therapist, yoga teacher, coach, or movement practitioner
- Working in wellbeing, holistic health, or body-based therapies
- Noticing that clients often share personal or emotional experiences
- Wanting to work more confidently with the nervous system and trauma-informed principles
- Interested in learning alongside other disciplines to strengthen your own practice

No. This training provides trauma-informed education and practical skills to support your existing work. It is not a counselling or psychotherapy qualification and does not train you to practice as a therapist.
Will I be “trauma-informed” after this training?
You will develop a strong trauma-informed foundation, including understanding nervous system responses, safety, consent, and regulation. Trauma-informed practice is ongoing, and this course offers a grounded starting point you can continue to build on.
Is this suitable for counsellors and psychotherapists?
Yes. The training is designed to complement existing therapeutic training and aligns with ethical frameworks such as BACP, while offering a broader whole-human and integrative perspective.

This may include those working in body-based therapies, coaching, movement, or holistic health.
Will this change my scope of practice?
No. The training is designed to support you in working more safely and confidently within your existing scope of practice, not to extend or replace it.
What will I be able to do after the course?
You will feel more confident holding space, responding to emotional material, understanding nervous system responses, and recognising when to refer on. The focus is on deepening how you work, rather than changing your role.
