Yoga therapist Profile
For over 20 years I worked in the corporate world, so I understand first-hand the pressures of juggling demanding careers, family life and the expectation to keep everything going. My own experiences, including navigating anxiety and discovering the profound impact of yoga and nervous system regulation, inspired me to change direction and dedicate my work to helping others feel better in both body and mind. Today I bring together evidence-informed approaches with the wisdom of yoga, movement and coaching to support the whole person. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, I'm interested in understanding the bigger picture—how your physical health, emotional wellbeing, lifestyle, stress levels and life experiences all interact. Every person arrives with a unique story, so I don't believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Whether we're exploring mindful movement, breathwork, restorative practices, coaching conversations or practical tools for everyday life, my aim is to create a supportive space where you feel genuinely heard, understood and empowered. Clients often tell me they appreciate my calm, down-to-earth approach and my ability to blend science with compassion. My work is centred on helping people build sustainable habits, reconnect with their bodies and develop greater resilience, rather than simply pushing through life's challenges. Whether you're looking to reduce stress, move with more confidence, recover from burnout, improve wellbeing or simply create space to breathe again, I'd be honoured to support you.
I believe wellbeing isn't about fixing what's wrong—it's about creating the conditions that allow your body and mind to function at their best. My sessions are collaborative, compassionate and tailored entirely to you. I combine movement, breathwork, nervous system education, mindfulness, coaching and practical strategies to help you better understand yourself and respond to life's challenges with greater awareness and flexibility. When we know how to work with our bodies rather than against them, we are better able to recognise the signals and listen in to the conversation that is always happening with body, breath and mind. Rather than offering quick fixes, I focus on helping you build sustainable practices that can become part of everyday life, supporting lasting wellbeing beyond our sessions together.
The mind and body are constantly communicating. Our thoughts, emotions, experiences and environment all influence how we feel physically, while our physical health shapes our emotional wellbeing. I see the nervous system as an important bridge between these experiences - the way we move affects how we breathe; how we breathe affects how we feel; how we feel affects how we move, and around we go! When we understand how our nervous system responds to stress and safety, we can begin to work with it rather than against it. My work recognises that movement, breathing, rest, and self-awareness all contribute to health. By taking a whole-person approach, we can gently explore what supports greater balance and resilience in a way that feels realistic for your life.
Every session begins with a conversation about how you're feeling and what you'd like support with that day. Depending on your goals, we may explore mindful movement, yoga, breathing practices, nervous system regulation techniques, relaxation, meditation or coaching. Sessions move at your pace and are adapted to suit your experience, abilities and energy levels. You'll never be expected to push through discomfort or perform. Instead, we'll work together to help you develop greater awareness, confidence and trust in your body, with practical tools you can continue using between sessions if appropriate.
